These are reflections and comments on philosophical issues, terms, etc that pertain to an understanding of critical realism and consciousness within an explanatory context.
Background
Genesis
This page draws on the habit most writers have of writing notes daily. Eventually these may form a collection and yield an essay or article. Its intent is not simply to provide some visibility of my notes, but to provide brief, succinct expositions of key philosophical ideas explored on this site as a means for understanding the essays provided and the thought of Bernard Lonergan in particular.
Writing Tip
My thesis supervisor Geoffrey Payzant advised me to write daily, even if it was only a sentence. This habit, I think, overcomes writer's block. And if you think that writing is a form of thinking, as is a good conversation, then you may find that this habit leads to discoveries and the development of creativity.
